Switched outlets are key
Bought so I can hook up an ISP modem, router, network switch, etc. I screwed it to the wall and labeled each switch with what was plugged into their respective outlets. It's a lot easier to flick the power button when tech support tells me to restart/reboot a network device than it is to unplug hard-to-reach places. A few have been installed over the years for this purpose.
