I may have bought a head that is too big, but yes, it is a tedious work. However, the material and functionality are good, but too much effort. If you are planning to purchase this product to feel like the perfect waterfall shower I was expecting, be sure to purchase something smaller than 12 inches. It is too big to install and due to the size of the water column, the head pressure will obviously decrease. Fog(?) starts to build up below, and while you're showering you have to pull out the rubber part to get the dust off that part. It doesn't look pretty and is inefficient.
