This is a beautiful set of eight mauve blending sponges in a plastic case that makes the sponges look like an egg carton. The sponges are great although not as thick as others I've tried meaning they pick up a little more liquid makeup. There are six flat/slanted sponges that are great for a smooth application. The other two sponges are typical egg-shaped sponges that are good for blending or applying larger makeup. All sponges are easy to hold, blend well and have a pleasant feel. These blenders make a great gift for makeup geeks. I like that the sponges don't smell. I have tried other colored sponges and they smell like pencil shavings or other chemicals but not this one. They are perfect as a gift for the Easter basket. like a freebie.
