I use them to "intimidate" in the Hawaiian countryside. I bought signs saying we have 24/7 CCTV and then placed them in strategic locations. I especially like the little red flashing light. However, if placed correctly, everyone can see the solar cells. I bought small "rubber" antennas and attached them to the blocks. We have so many WiFi and solar powered products today that it could actually be a real camera. It won't stop hardcore thieves, but it will give amateurs food for thought and maybe move on to someone else.
