Definitely does what it's supposed to and my laptop's cooling system isn't working as hard as it was before I used this cooling pad. The only reason it gets 4 stars out of 5 instead is that I'd like to see a few more options for adjusting the angle of the stand. It's like going from totally flat to too steep (and then steeper and steeper). It's really a nitpick, although it's a better product than I expected for the relatively low price.
