You get a decent product for the price of this monitor. However, compared to the G-Sync version, this panel appears flat, with text and app icons appearing slightly blurry. Colors look flat and saturated rather than vivid alongside grays, no matter how much you tweak the settings. (But then again compared to my version of G-Sync. If you buy these separately you won't notice any difference unless you compare yourself.) Also, the halo effect during gameplay is insanely bad when the 1 -ms feature is enabled. If I then play with Freesync instead of the 1ms option, the tearing becomes noticeable. Great for low-cost gaming, but paired with a high-end gaming rig, this monitor can't handle FPS over 165. I don't have this problem. with my version of the G-Sync monitor because I use both at the same time. My version of G-Sync shows no tearing or ghosting above 165 fps. The comparison shouldn't spoil the love for this monitor. Each monitor is constructed differently. But for those used to a crisp, high-quality display, you might be disappointed to learn you're better off buying the $499 G-Sync version from Best Buy or this budget one $300-$400 for another better quality monitor.
