Silk is a light material, very comfortable for sensitive skin. But it's just a mostly flat shape that doesn't fit the face well, even pleated. No metal nose strip to shape the bridge of the nose, no chin shape, etc. I don't really know what it would be useful for, other than one commenter said she wears it under a surgical mask for comfort. Not worth the hassle or I would have sent it back. COVID masks are hard to buy online and even in stores you can't try them on first!
