My wife and I travel often (half board, boredom and short trips) -- Free Lift one of the two cup holders to the ashtray on the side of my handbrake hold, and two rings are slightly different sizes, so I use both together to hold the ashtray. Otherwise the second ring will be too big for him and not big enough for anything useful. The part that fits in my car's cup holder is shaped like a cone, so good for drinks at a restaurant or store, but a bit awkward for storing 16 or 20 ounces. drinking a bottle and not actually holding a coffee cup. But it does hold the drink and offers some degree of insulation to the drink placed inside. Conclusion: Everything is fine and satisfies my needs for little money. I put my drink in an empty OEM cup holder and use this cup holder for my wife's drinks with an ashtray in the ring. The small, flat silicone cup that comes with it is pretty much useless to me, but it fits into one of two rings if you want to store something like loose change or similar jewelry. Just be aware that it *sits* in there and isn't attached to it. It will be easy to tap or knock out, so I would NOT recommend using it.
