I got them because of a pinched toe, my middle finger joint in particular was very swollen and sore. Pressure from them didn't seem to help much as the sore finger is stressed by the compression they provide. While this isn't the manufacturer's fault, they don't work well with large hands/sore fingers. They remind you that your finger hurts, so it's nice and they hold up well. I also use them for brazilian jiu jitsu over white ribbon to keep my fingers nice and strong to avoid additional irritation and pain, seems to work well and stay the same.
