Very sticky... but - Health and safety products

I bought three rolls to stick on the freshly painted deck steps. (A lot) Application was easy with a flat wooden roller. Since most stairs I've walked over wood grain have had to overlap the sides of the 2x6, I'm concerned that those air gaps could cause the glue to rise. Cutting each piece of the board individually would require a lot of work and wouldn't look as pretty. Perfectly clean, smooth and flat surfaces are perfect for this product.
