Holds a 34 inch monitor very well

Spec says up to 32 inches and 22 pounds. The Acer Predator X34P measures 34 inches but only weighs about 15 pounds when you take it off the stand. Holds up well! Will update if that changes, but seems pretty robust. The maximum height from table top to table top is about 6.5 inches. Bottom of the monitor (however, this depends on the position of the VESA mount on the monitor). The two-piece center mount works from 0 to 180 degrees but "does not extend". You still have enough range of motion, but you can't move the monitor to the left without bringing it closer to you unless you fully extend your arm. The photos will show what I mean. I wasn't sure what I thought about using the monitor arm as a stand as I figured the clamp on the stand would have to be very tight and it would keep slipping off. It turns out that this is not entirely true. When I adjusted the height (with the screw loose) I found that since the weight of the monitor is not centered on the stand it has a slight cantilever effect and can hold it in place fairly well without being tightened at all to become. You had to support the weight of the monitor a bit so it could slide up and down smoothly. Now that I think about it, it makes sense and I'm not worried about that joint anymore. The tilting hinge still worries me a bit, since it's only held in place by friction. It does feel all metal though, so if it sags I can just tighten it as many times as needed. EDIT: For some reason this article doesn't allow me to upload photos of my review. You just have to believe me that rotating the arm to the right works fine, but rotating it to the left doesn't work unless the monitor is brought towards you to make room for your elbow.
