Review on Electes πŸ’‘ Grounded Outlets Extension Detector by Cody Cobbs

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good cord for every occasion

I think this is a good switch for some situations but not others. The middle of the cable means there are two thick, stiff and strong cables coming out of the switch. In many of my situations, that's not ideal. Because of the two cords, the derailleur sometimes wants to fold over instead of lying flat. This is contrary to convenience. And a two-cord setup works well as long as your device is some distance from an outlet and there's a spot halfway between them where you can place a switch. But normally I would prefer it to have a cord coming out of the socket. Switch. because it's less ugly and I usually want the switch to peek out from under or behind the bed or piece of furniture. To do this, I have to bend and twist the cable on one side to return to the cable on the opposite side. Personally, I'm not thrilled with how the switch looks like a modern day red and black UFO. I love that this cable has multiple outlets and it's a bit like an extension cord that allows you to remotely plug your device into an outlet. Still a good cable but I would check if it works in your situation(s). I'll probably use this and a combination of different switches, depending.

Cons
