Didn't work right away.

I did a lot of research on throat mics to find that they can vary depending on where they are placed on the throat. Tried many different points, tightened and loosened, and couldn't get any sound out of the mic. The only way to get anything out of it was to speak into the receiver and the audio came out without pressing the PTT button. return for refund

The microphone transmits directly from the throat, so it is not sensitive to background noise.
