Review on πŸ“¦ Nathan James Enloe Modern Storage Cabinet: Stylish Free-Standing Accent for Hallway, Entryway, or Living Room with Rustic Fir Wood Finish and White/Gold Powder-Coated Metal Base by Chelsea Hunter

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I can't complain about the MDF and the price, I'm satisfied.

I didn't want to spend $500 on a wooden chest at the entry and this item had pretty good reviews. Took me over 2 hours to assemble but I'm slow and methodical. Early in the assembly process I decided to put a drop or two of excellent primate gel on the top of each screw (and in the dowel holes) as one of the screws was turning and not tightening properly into the MDF. There were a few steps where it would have been nice to have two people, but I was able to put them together alone. There is a step where you have to lower or lower a mostly built-in unit where a few screws and anchors should fit, and also to mount doors it would be nice to have an extra pair of hands. I have a step stool that has the step at the same height as the bottom of the two doors and I used it to elevate the bottom of the door while I attached the hardware. I figured the doors were perfectly aligned by tightening just one of the eight screws on the door as an axis while using a step to hold the door still while tightening the other screws to hold the door in place and for alignment to hold position. I thought (and did) that they lined up well, but after a few days they start to look a little off. The top seemed a bit loose when the cabinet was moved but I think one of the cams is not fully tightened now it's mostly irrelevant and unnoticed in place. It's pretty good for medium density fiberboard (MDF) furniture, I think I snagged it on sale for around $180. For the price I can't complain much. I noticed several problems. Everything seems fine, any reservations I will probably not pay for a piece of hardwood anymore. Sturdy, very durable and very beautiful. Nathan James Enloe Wardrobe: B+/A- The above update wasn't secured because I didn't tighten/close the camera properly, a flat head screwdriver easily fixed this issue. The door seems to be skewing slightly, maybe it's my imagination and maybe I wouldn't have noticed it if previous reviews hadn't made me aware of the problem before I bought the item. However, the cabinet doors work perfectly with no problems. Barely noticeable, especially if you're not looking for it I guess.
