I bought these for short walks from home to neighborhood places to shop and walks with my dog in the neighborhood. They're still new but my only challenge is they are a bit heavier than I expected and require more of an effort in walking in them which I'm adjusting to (still recovering from an injury I sustained 5+ years ago. O ;ole tje ;omlomg -- I prefer not to wear socks most of the time and that's why these boots initially appealed. In that department I remain very pleased. Overall they are a keeper pair of winter boots.
