I spend most of my time at work and creative hobbies on the computer and found the screen tired. My goal was to find a non-screen hobby and watercolor painting was my choice! I had to start from scratch to get all my materials and I didn't even know desk easels existed! I'm so glad I found this easel. It's light and strong and assembly was very easy. Only three screws are required to fasten the base and extension frames. Please note that the frame bar screw is shorter than the base screws. So if you use it in the base it doesn't seem to fit. Before assembling, check the length to make sure it's seamless. The dividers fit snugly in the compartments, but be aware that when closed you have a small ceiling and food can spill into the box if you haven't packed it properly. I solved this problem by packing a watercolor pad, a short apron, and the plastic cloth I use over my art supplies to ensure a snug fit. Case held them all well and the resulting art was ready to go! Highly recommended!
