Too hard, as if the leather should be used for a suitcase, and the opening is narrow. It's a bit awkward. Side pockets are small. It's an iPhone 7 Plus. The stitching and buckles seem sturdy, although I didn't use them because they didn't hold what I needed for my travel handbag/second carry-on. It is more suitable for notebooks and folders, pens, pencils and calculators. Only 4 inches deep, my mistake, I should have noticed. Should be called a computer backpack. Backpack reminds of hiking.
