Of not too miserable results for me

Boo. I bought these to cut 12 x 16 rags into smaller segments. Watching them turn pink with scissors, I thought they would take out the roughness on the raw cut edges. They should. Boy was I wrong. After that, when I came out of the washing machine, I had a lot of ropes tied together with ropes. For some reason they didn't work like my Olfa Rotary Pinker on 100% cotton. And the only place they seem to meet exactly is right at the tips of the scissors. I quilt and often buy pink Moda tins for patterns so I know what a freshly cut edge of a quality pinker looks like. Each pink is even, no resizing. Each pink is smooth with no ragged pink undertones. They didn't even cut the pinks, and the pinks varied in their degree of raggedness, leaving my 100% cotton fabric with a mass of threads and knots. I'm not happy with that at all. I can't remember how much I paid for it back then, maybe around $20. But I'm sure it was a bad idea and a bad investment for me and I really feel uncomfortable recommending it to anyone else. A tin can end cut with a can opener that cuts unevenly produces comparable results, saving you money and frustration.
