I like the easy-to-replace thick battery. This inexpensive fan is powered by conventional lithium-ion cells. It blows a lot of air. short. It keeps working when the voltage is below 3 volts. However, the LED will blink when the charge is low. If the LED flashes, charge it or replace the battery. For the reviewers who say this fan is short-lived, it's because of the fans' lack of battery power management. No undervoltage lockout. The price is low enough for me to buy some of these for my 18650 battery based projects. I like the fact that it has a battery cover for a quick battery swap. The cover is thin, and it's awful or not. Some reviewers complain that the lid falls off. Is that so. Here are some measurements. On the low setting, the fan runs at 5.5 volts and 0.4 amps; at medium settings, the fan runs at 7.8 volts and 0.8 amps; On a high setting, the fan runs at 10 volts and 1.6 amps. At a high setting, the internal transistors get hot. I would keep it low. The quiescent current is 8 µA, which would be 8 microamps.
