Got this for 1.5 year old grand son.The chair was simple to assemble, it's very stable and the baby is securely 'locked' in when the tray is in place. There are belts to put around the baby but we find this unnecessary.I wouldn't use the chair for a newborn up to about 10 months old without buckling them in with the belts though.The only things we find wrong with the chair is that it is a little bulky, (IT DOES NOT BREAK DOWN), and the casters don't roll well on hardwood floors.They would be just fine on a carpeted floor though.Overall we're very well pleased with the chair.
