Beyond perfection. Moves and rotates smoothly in the kitchen or living room several times a day

My wife and I love this mount. Over the past 15 years of working with multiple mounts, I have learned to trust inspectors who repeatedly report positive results or issues with the mount. I've read various articles on what to look out for and what to consider in terms of frequent adjustments, proper weight management, future TVs that could be used on the same mount, and durability as it avoids any potential sagging or bending. So in the past I typically didn't spend more than $80, but over time I wanted something much better. I looked at current trends, some "top 10 bindings" comparison items and so on. There have been many highly rated mounts, but this time I found I needed a longer extension cord than usual for our 60" TV. I learned search terms like "articulated arm", "extension" and others. This particular case has shown the most consistent and highest number of reviewers. When it arrived the whole box was very heavy and I was wondering how I would attach it and how it would hold to the wall. But with separate components, it was very convenient to install. And it was attached to two wall studs so it was extremely durable and stable. I was almost able to assemble it myself, but my wife helped me once when screwing the wall plate to the wall studs. I used a bubble level to make sure it was properly balanced and didn't look skewed, although it had some adjustment points that could be used once it was set. Before installing it, I assembled it on the floor and pulled it out to measure where it would attach to the TV. I needed this so I could determine the correct height for the TV. The VESA holes for my TV were not in the center of the TV and were significantly lower, so having this information was important for me to determine what height to mount the original wall plate to. As you can see from other reviewers' photos, when installed, the wall-mounted panel can be visible to you or anyone else in the room when the TV is slid out a reasonable distance. We knew we would keep our TV on almost all of the time. This was unavoidable in our situation, but we put up with it as there were no other mounts with features that could hide this part of the mount. We figured that if it stretched far enough and had enough pivot points, we could maneuver it to be visible while cooking in the kitchen or lounging in the living room, and it worked! We couldn't believe how easily it rotated not only with the primary movement of the entire arm, but also at each of the two pivot joints, allowing us to "wrap" it around the corner wall. We noticed that there are basically two types of it. one and I was wondering why one costs a little more than the other. After reading the reviews more carefully, I found out why. The more expensive model (which we bought) had a TV mounting plate with many more holes so it was more likely not to block our TV's ports and vents. Of course I could see it when I connected the cables we were using. We used an HDMI cable (HDMI Heavy Duty v2) for the streaming device and an Ethernet cable to connect to the router. These two cables, along with the power cord, were routed through an articulating arm and tied around the swivel joints to finally return down the wall plate to the wall connections and power supply. We used the included zip ties to secure all the cables. Only once in the first few hours did I have to adjust the angle of the television manually. I tightened it a bit and there was no need to adjust it anymore. Our TV isn't very heavy, but I can see how it can handle much heavier ones. We leave it about 2-3 feet extended all the time and it never sags and keeps moving to easily move to another room several times a day. It works so smoothly that now we don't think about assembling anything as it just works.
