Actual stock height is about 1.25 inches for the bottom shells.
It worked for me, but moving the bottom shelf of each tray significantly reduces the capacity of the bottom trays. 2" by removing the offset, the actual bearing height is only 1 1/4". It was a little unexpected. Measuring 2 inches, I knew there would be some reduction due to stack offset, but wasn't aware it would have been that much.
