This is the perfect pack for a Cub Scout leader and at under $100 I quickly decided to buy an extra pack for my oldest son. There's a place to put essentials that are always loaded, you can add snacks, and there's still room for clothes or other gear for outdoor activities. Side straps hold the load so it doesn't slide down your back. With a 36-38" waist I make maximum use of the hip belt so be aware but this pack scales well from older youth to adults and the construction is military grade so it will last.
