The essential oils it contains (Douglas Fir, Scots Pine, Clary Sage, and Lemon Eucalyptus) seem to have some sort of antibacterial effect, so even when I'm sweating, it just smells like sweat, not BO. is that you can use it almost anywhere (though maybe not on your face), which would otherwise be detrimental to traditional antiperspirants. I've been trying to get off aluminum based deodorants and because I've tried a lot of aluminum-free deodorants, many other products I've tried have given me a really painful rash in my armpits. I have sensitive skin, so higher concentrations of baking soda hurt. Luckily, even though this product contains baking soda, I've had absolutely no issues with skin rashes and my bones don't seriously stink! It smells really delicious, like a forest.
