I thought that was the stupidest thing when I saw it. My mother-in-law said, "We always used our hands. When did people become so picky about not getting their hands dirty? I tended to agree with her until one night I was trying to put lotion on my little one and I fell and he rolled over. Glad at first that he had finished his first roll, I found that diaper cream was now everywhere and a diaper disappeared onto the floor. Now I had to find a diaper, my hands were covered in Desitin, and my two-month-old was rolling over like an alligator trying to escape the horrible cold friction. After struggling with my alligator, trying to avoid the sprinkler incident, cleaning everything up, and wrapping that little roller like a burrito, I ordered this product. Now when my little one decides to ride, I just put him on the suction cup and grab him with both hands. No mess and the alligator won't run away! The suction cup base is great and I love that it can spread the cream very thickly on his mouth. Much better than what I managed to do with my own hands. So now I'm a stupid person too good to use my hands (or maybe just a little wiser). I recommend trying it.
