Installation was pretty straight forward, but note that the 4 point hardware is to be installed in a specific direction. The backrest had to be persuaded to fit. It is not a quick install and removal because the latches are very difficult to engage and dis-engage. This is because of the poor quality of the backrest. The luggage rack and 4 point hardware seem to be made to a higher standard. If you're looking for a backrest setup that you do not plan to remove on a regular basis, this would be fine. I like to switch to my solo seat w/o backrest when I do not have a passenger. If I had to do over, I would have searched for a pre-owned OEM setup. They are out there for a reasonable price. I took a chance on aftermarket and am only mildly satisfied.
