CALIBRATION IS EVERYTHING! Like any scale that measures less than a gram, it needs to be calibrated. Here's my experience: 1. The package came - the scale feels cool. Note: The scale must be at room temperature. This is not a toaster.2. I turned it on and let it sit for 30 seconds to stabilize. The weight is a little off. This is normal as it has been transported several thousand kilometers under different temperatures, electromagnetic fields, etc.3. I put it in calibration mode and used my 500 gram calibration weight ($8). It took a few minutes but now the measurements are very stable, accurate, consistent etc. Sometimes I add a calibration weight to make sure it's still correct - and it is. Don't expect miracles for €20. Spend a few bucks more (you need a 500 gram weight for this model) to get the calibration weight. If you're cooking and just need something very close, but not exactly an ounce, then don't worry. Covers - save these - the weighing platform is relatively thin as it is designed to weigh items under a gram.
