This set of bright white 20cm porcelain bowls is just perfect. They are very well packaged to avoid damage in transit. I am a very experienced home and staff chef. The aesthetic presentation of dishes is an art that all chefs must master. My mentor, one of the 70 certified chefs in the world, taught me a while ago that WHITE dishes are the correct way to serve food to a guest. All the oddly colored and oddly shaped plates are nothing more than a distraction from the well prepared food and the presentation of those dishes. Taste begins with the eyes, followed by the nose and finally the taste buds. SEEING beautifully decorated, colorful food on your plate activates your taste buds and increases salivation. It's like the old saying "Sell the Fizz". These crisp white bowls are perfect for serving colorful soups, salads and pasta. The culinary offerings stand out against a bright white background. They fold up easily and are dishwasher safe. The edges are nicely curved to prevent liquid from spilling out of the bowls. The weight is spot on and the true 8 inches help with portion control. I like to use them to serve curry and rice in the same bowl with just the right portions. Be happier with these bowls and buy more so you have enough to serve the crowds.
