I had a small cat tent that lasted many years and eventually fell apart to the point that it was more suitable as an outdoor seating area than an indoor tent. I wanted something that wasn't too big as my cats like to have a little shelter on the basement stairs when they land in a storm or seek a safe haven. Step into this long-named cat bed. It took a day or two for my little cat pals to snuggle up to him and then sit down. I have found that everyone takes control day and night. It's the right size for how safe they (who can tell in a cat) feel and I can see a small head and sometimes a small foot when walking down the stairs. They liked it so much that I had to order a second one because one or the other kept trying to get hold of it. It was a great success and I'm glad I got it. Not sure about cleaning it - I'm sure it will pick up a lot of fur, although it seems pretty easy to clean if you don't let it get out of hand.
