This watch claims to have a 10 year battery but of course that is from the manufacture date it is between could be any time last month and 2004. Digital clocks should be as old as canned ones because changing the battery costs almost as much as a clock these days. Other than that, it seems like a decent watch for the price and purpose. I have a small wrist so the end of the strap is less than an inch from the watch. The tether slides all the way around, so I sewed a piece of black elastic to the secure end of the tether to keep it from snagging on things. However, I didn't like the packaging. The watch was placed in one of those postal envelopes, so the box was completely crushed in transit. The booklet also looked a bit worn in the shop so hopefully I didn't get a 10 year old watch. Will definitely upgrade when the battery dies in less than a couple of years.
