If you're used to Halo, this is a little different. The zipper is on the side. It fastens at the shoulders and under the arms. However, you don't have to use the latch under the arms. The pattern is cute and gender neutral. These are two thin pieces of cotton connected together. The weight is equivalent to a halo cotton bag. It fits the chest better than I'm used to, hence the deduction of a star. My son liked it as soon as we tried it on. Changes in fit and style didn't bother him. I bought this because my son has outgrown Halo XL but hasn't stayed under the covers yet. The size is great. He is in 24 month clothes. I would recommend this if you need something more than Halo XL.
