Bought this as a spare and it works in the sense that it puts out the light but gets very hot. Every surface of the microwave oven, from the inside to the outer shell, is extremely hot within a 6 inch radius of the light bulb. So hot I burned my wrist reaching for the microwave to put food in it. Our microwave is above the stove, and when my wrist touched the floor while I was putting something in, I suffered severe burns. It was a red line for a few days that turned into a brownish dry crust that lasted for another week. This was the exact part number for our microwave.
