The chewable necklace has helped my son cope with compulsive oral fixation because he prefers it over his shirt, fingers, dice and other toys etc. So this is something useful for that purpose. Unfortunately, this particular thicker blue Lego-shaped one didn't even last a week. I trimmed the edges to finish him off before bed but it will be gone by the time he goes to sleep. I'm a little worried about giving him thinner straw gum and probably won't give him another Lego. He almost choked on taking a bite. He is 5 years old, so in the early age range and has not lost a single tooth. I expect older children to be able to bite through, especially if they have adult teeth.
