I ordered this item along with another (Bell Memory Foam) to compare and didn't use it for a long ride. I found gel to be more cushioning than foam, but it seems like most of the padding is all the way back where I can't sit while riding. I chose the bell because it was slightly larger than my seat and therefore overlapped it by adding padding to the sides. With this article, I found that my inner groin still hurt when driving because it was still leaning on the hard seat (only the top edge of the seat was affected). This item had an extra strap than the bell which was nice and it stayed quiet throughout the short ride I took it on. The waterproof cover was also a nice bonus, which I sadly had to part with. This is a smooth and good pillow.
