4/26/19 As an Anker fan, I expect as much as I pay for. I have never been disappointed with their products and support them 100%. However, while Anker makes quality products, I have to keep in mind that not every manufacturer excels with every product line. I have a pair of Anker SoundBuds Slim+ headphones that I am very happy with and will be comparing. Update in a week * Use: Weightlifting and Cardio. Slim+: Intermittent signal loss is quite annoying, and the lightweight cable jumps when running. Their sound quality is better than the Liberty Air. They are able to hit high notes without the seemingly negligible distortion introduced by the Liberty Air. They stay in my ear thanks to a hook for your inner ear, and the silicone tips are snug enough to block almost any sound. The earbuds are magnetic, which is a great feature but not a requirement for me. The controls are very useful and work very well, along with the microphone on phone calls (no problem with that). Liberty Air: The connection is made immediately after the charger. . They almost slide back on a magnet to ensure a secure fit in the case. The touch function is quite accurate, but not sensitive enough to recognize input 100%. They are very light, but unfortunately cannot stay in the ear as well as I would like. The bass quality is great, the mids sound good, but the highs sound like they're trying too hard, even when using the EQ. However, I don't use the equalizer at all. I'm not a big fan of the glossy finish on the sides, preferring the matte finish because it picks up fingerprints and such. For some reason, Anker chose not to have the bottom half as 100% flat as the top, so you'll need to balance it a bit if you want to mount the case the right way round. So far I haven't had any connection problems. I like the product but value sound quality and functionality over style. I'll add more thoughts in a week and hopefully by then the speakers will have broken a little / I've found a way to fit them snugly in my ear.
