Oven falls off and magnets broken

I bought six of these for my parents wood stove to measure the heat of the stove when they heat it up. Although the temperatures seemed accurate, the thermometers easily fell off the stove and broke. In addition, they discolor when heated and the magnets break easily. I only have one left after three weeks of use.
