Review on Game console Valve Steam Deck 64 GB SSD, black by Janis Liekmanis ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Exactly what I needed, it's a great buy, I recommend it.

The device is very interesting, but ambiguous. It seems that you can even play something in this or that scenario, but I personally am not very comfortable. If it were smaller and more autonomous, it might have become my inseparable companion, even in the city. Because of my limitations, I don’t take it anywhere, but at home sawing at 7 inches, well, before going to bed in bed is ok, but in general it seems stupid to me. As a result, I connected all the necessary peripherals to it and stuck it to the monitor / TV - it became convenient). Well, why then is its original format "portable console". The fishing rod of marketers, while it is very desirable as an idea, but implemented so-so.

Pros
  • format and potential. Versatility, functionality out of the box. Steam and game prices.
Cons
  • The size of the Deck does not allow me to carry it with me on an everyday basis, and few people will still be allowed to. Still, he's huge. Also, due to its size, the grip of the attachment turns out to be too wide and this affects the overall convenience for me. The deck feels raw, the aesthetics are dubious, the design is like an industrial arm. The battery life is miserable, so it is always a challenge to charge it before use. You can use it as a gaming hub for a TV/monitor, but it won’t understand something more serious in FullHD. Screen quality and size: since Valve couldn't/didn't want to make the Deck smaller, why is it only 7 inches? Visually, the screen asks for more. Personally, the screen is small for me, even for casual, maybe I'm getting old. Absolutely miserable available color range and highlights, at least some black color simply does not exist (only vibrantDeck improves the picture a little). Of course, there is no performance margin. We overloaded it with manipulators: I don’t like its square trackpads (why? The screen is touch + plus there are full-fledged joysticks), cheap vibration feedback and useless paired keys on the back.
