The star was only removed because all but two of the buttons on the dress came loose after the first wear and wash. I ended up just taking them all off and the dress was cute but it's a bit disappointing. I bought two of these - one pink and the other blue. Buttons fell off the pink but not the blue. Strange! Otherwise very cute clothes. My girls loved them!
