This is a decent belt with an interesting buckle. What about "tactical"? It is black. If that means "tactical" to you, then buy it. But that's not what tactics mean to me. Tactical to me means tough, tough, durable and able to endure days, weeks and months of constant combat on the battlefield without failure. It's not that belt. The webbing on this belt is strong enough to keep my pants comfortable at work, but I'm not on the battlefield (thank goodness!). It's quite difficult to remove the end of the buckle and thread the non-tactical webbing through my belt loops, and then attach the end and tighten the whole thing back up. I thought I was ok but to be honest he's old. If I had to carry some gear or attach tools, this belt isn't it either. I have what I consider to be a truly "tactical" belt from another company that makes them specifically, but it costs ten times more than this belt. If you want a truly "tactical" sling, you need more than that, and you can't get away with it cheaply.
