Review on 🎥 Magewell XI100DUSB SDI USB 3.0 HD Video Capture Dongle by Charles Palma

I have a client who wanted to view the HD output of a medical microscope during a video conference using a service like Go to Meeting. The microscope's video panel has an SDI output, which I needed to connect to the USB port on my Macbook Pro. I bought a device, but the video conference was canceled. I tested Magewell with the camcorder's SDI output and it worked right out of the box with no drivers or software to install. I tested it with Go to Meeting and was able to pass the camera's HD-SDI output with no problems. I was also able to capture a full 1920x1080 resolution video using QuickTime 7. A video conference like this may be developed in the future, so I'm leaving Magewell.
