They are not that bright, at least not as bright as in the photos in the reviews of other buyers. Yes, I used new batteries! The length of the stripes was ridiculous. According to the description it's 39.37 inches, but when I put it in my 5ft closet it seemed like half the job was done. Maybe I should have bought and wired up a whole roll of LED strips. That way I could at least trim off the excess I'm not using and my closet will be fully lit! In this case, those strips barely lit my closet. Oh, the motion sensors worked fine. They go out after a few seconds and you have to wave or wave your arms to turn the light back on. I had to do that a few times the minute I was looking for my jeans.
