Review on Bowers & Wilkins PX7 Wireless Headphones by Vinay Rao ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

There are disadvantages, but the product is usable.

Headphones are very high quality. Materials, assembly - everything is on top! They sit comfortably on the head, much better than their predecessor - the PX model (without 7), but they still fall short of the "king of convenience" Bose QC35 - in this Bose is out of reach. Management is carried out in the most correct way - that is, with buttons (they already got these fashionable randomly triggered touch panels from other manufacturers). Active noise cancellation in my opinion works at the Bose level - that is, very good. The included ANC does not affect the sound quality. However, even without noise reduction, they isolate the ears well from external noise. There is practically no "leakage" of music from the headphones to the outside world. The main advantage, as well as the main disadvantage of these headphones is their sound! I've never seen headphones so dependent on the material being played. Moreover, the sound quality does not even depend on the genre of music, but on a specific track. The music that is suitable for these headphones will sound just great - you won’t want to turn it off, but they will play inappropriate music not only badly, but in such a way that it will even be impossible to listen to. First of all, this is manifested in the upper part of the bass, with which the headphones will score all other sounds. While in general I wouldn't call the PX7 an overly bass model, on some tracks they suddenly become just that. In general, the headphones are good - but by no means universal. Before buying this model, I would recommend to carefully listen to them on a variety of examples of your favorite music, and only then make a decision.

Pros
  • - Sound (but see comment) - Build quality and materials - Comfortable fit on the head - Wireless connection works reliably - Button control - Long battery life - Good travel case included - Sane software
Cons
  • - Sound (see comment) - No built-in equalizer
