The seller's photos and description are an accurate representation of this product. tape over it. There are labels and a black marker (thin point) in the box. Box: The branded tape/label on the plastic box is completely removable without leaving any residue (as long as you peel it off slowly). That was nice because the box is a sturdy, translucent plastic box and will still be useful once all the labels have been used up. Black marker: Labels say OK. - beautiful and readable. The tags are a slightly rough porous cardboard, but the felt-tip pen writes clearly on the tags (does not spread and is quickly absorbed). I'm guessing the marker won't last long but it was nice to have it in the kit for immediate use. Because the markings are brownish, writing with a marker is easier to see than with a pencil or fine-line ballpoint pen. The marker ink does not "leak" through the marker, so you can easily use both sides. Wine bottle tags are medium to heavyweight cardstock (paper) with a mottled brown color similar to the color of "cardstock". Probably the hardest thing to figure out from the photos is the weight/thickness. It's perfect - similar in thickness/rigidity to a manila folder (perhaps a bit thicker), but made from "rougher" cardstock, slightly smoother on one side than the other. It is NOT covered/smooth like a manila file folder. It looks more rustic than the shiny plastic labels. The shape was good - as can be seen in the picture there is an 'upper' part - it's big enough to fix a few things (year, brand or some other quick note). Below is a large space to write all the information you need about wine or beer, above is enough space to write information. As mentioned, the label is thick enough that the markings don't show through. Both sides can be used. Finally - yes, it's great for a wine bottle. I have a few "plastic" labels but never used them because I didn't like the markings on them and I suspected I would never be able to completely remove any markings I had written on them for later use . (and our recycling have gotten very picky about what is required so I can't recycle them). They can be used at least twice (both sides), are unwritten and recyclable. Big!
