They are great - supportive and very comfortable! I took them on a 5 mile hike and then 2-3 miles the next day (with a 5-10 lb backpack and sometimes with my 3 year old son) just days after I received them so there was practically no time to run -in. But I had no problems at all! I put them in the water, they dried quickly and had no hot spot issues - it was a great way to clean them. I was very worried that the light colors would get dirty and look ugly, but I jumped in the creek and they looked brand new. Also went down a fairly steep rocky waterfall and wasn't worried about slipping. I did get blisters on the tips of my toes, but it was 100% my fault for not ripping them open (and the next day I just taped the blister under the strap and everything was fine). Since then I've been wearing them without calluses. Worst thing I have to say is the sock loop strap was difficult to put on but once they fit you're done!
