Before traveling to Peru I was looking for a good compact camera in the $200 range. I looked at different manufacturers like Sony, Panasonic, Nikon, Canon but settled on this one based on the price, size and features. I like the Wi-Fi sync feature, but to be honest I haven't used it much as images can take a while to transfer if they are of high quality. The 20x optical zoom is fantastic and probably the main reason I bought this camera as the digital zoom is absolutely terrible. The good thing about this camera is that I can easily carry it in my bag if I want to or in the compact Sony case that I bought with it. Another interesting thing I found was that it was quite rainy in the mountains of Peru, but this camera handled the humidity just fine. I kept it in a zipped case for protection when not in use, but it's been exposed to the conditions when I've taken a few shots and it still works great. I also like the fact that the flash is built into the camera and doesn't pop out like the others which can easily break. This is definitely a good camera that I would recommend to others. I'll try to remind myself to post an update in the future to see if everything is ok in a year or two as a lot of these new cameras don't last very long but I have a feeling these will last could.
