Review on πŸ•ΉοΈ Logitech Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant: Elevated Precision for an Authentic Piloting Experience by Joshua Gallegos

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Like many other flight sim enthusiasts, I wanted this throttle stick.

I was like many other flight sim enthusiasts who wanted this throttle quadrant but didn't want to pay the exorbitant prices for used, notoriously broken, or sometimes rare "new" throttles being sold on the web auction site. . When I discovered last week that they were back on sale and on sale from Logitech, I couldn't hit the buy button fast enough! Great setup and I've been using it since 2014 with no problems, but the obvious downside was that if you want a more realistic multi-engine experience you had to buy a separate throttle quadrant. My other problem back then was flying planes in FSX, which were "handheld" planes (ie fighter planes) where I wanted to use my Force Feedback 2 joystick along with the Saitek throttle. What a PITA as the throttle for the yoke system is a PS/2 connection and requires a yoke setup to power it! So I would have this jumble of components just to use a throttle quadrant and a joystick. No longer! It's really an "extra" quadrant with a USB port that acts as a separate device in the Windows Devices panel. A few notes: β€’ When I first use it and every time I plug it in, I 'sync' the axis of each lever with a program called DXTweak2. This ensures that the physical range of each plane matches the axis input values (ie full throttle "off" = 0; full "on" = 65535). Off or 0 reflects 50% of in-plane control, not 0%. If you encounter this problem, please do the following: Go to Settings β†’ click the "Controls" button β†’ under "Calibration" make sure the controller (3-axis 9-button joystick) is selected , and click the Additional Controls β†’ Build radio button. Make sure all 3-axis sensitivity controls are set to the right and the null zone controls are all the way to the left. Finally, the desk clamp has an insert that fits into one of the three holes molded into the clamp mount. The insert is held under the clamp by two small silver screws. My clamp mount came with an insert in the rearmost hole that prevents it from being firmly attached to my desk. The instructions in the brochure do not tell you how to set this bet. So if you find that your clip is not fastened properly, remove it and reinstall it in the middle or next hole.
