These items are hardly held together with a few loose stitches. I agree with another reviewer that you really need to supervise small children when playing with them. In fact, I couldn't give it to my little one without first fixing it, sewing on sewn-on eyes to replace the loose beads, and sewing the pieces together. Some parts are just glued. I saw a promising set at Ikea, but they don't have as many different animals as in this set.
