Had to return this product because I was having to force the band on and off every time with thenew series 7 45mm watch, as it would not slide in or out easily. I knew I had to put the band slides on at the same time but it felt like I was scratching the watch every time I was putting it on. Then when trying to take it off because there was so much force needed to get it off while one band was still on, the force caused the band clasp to bend and would not sit straight while close on the wrist. So I can't contest if this band is good for older or smaller models of Apple Watches but I can say that I would not recommend this band for the new 7 series watch. Also to note, not the easiest band in the world to remove the links but that's what you get for the price point.
