These crampons offer a very safe walking on ice and slippery ground. We bought a medium size and it was very difficult to put my wife's US size 8 boots on but once on they stay in place unlike the lower ones which have what look like winter tire lugs , but slide and slide on slippery ice surfaces. , then take off your shoe if you're not careful. If you don't want to fall, take her. Not good on wooden floors, by the way.
