This adapter is close to perfect. I have two 27 inch Samsung CF591 curved monitors. They are great and I am very happy with them. Attach a mounting plate to the back for use with a wall mount or some type of adjustable mount. I assume this is for balance and weight distribution and to prevent damage to Cruve style monitors. I bought 2 monitors and have now spent about a week setting up the docking station and anchor and screen mount adapter. These adapters fit and fit almost perfectly, they are almost exactly what I needed. Notch on the side of the adapter on the wrong side, the opposite side has a notch on the monitor stand that comes with the monitor. I'm pretty sure that if the adjustable stand would sink or sag, the monitor on the adapter wouldn't be snug enough to support the monitor's weight and prevent it from falling off the adapter. The adapter doesn't have the same satisfying, reliable sound, a distinct clicking noise that identifies a factory install. Maybe because the neckline is on the wrong side. It's reliable enough that I trust this mount otherwise I wouldn't be using it and wouldn't risk my monitors. I'm sure the adapter design could be improved a bit by adding a clamp or clip to hold the monitor pin to the adapter. Barring a few unusual occurrences, I don't think the monitor will fall off the adapter. Installation was easy. This seems to be the best adapter available and I really like it, but since the notch is not on the right side, I'm concerned that if anything out of the ordinary happens, the screen and adapter will succumb to gravity and the screen will pull off the adapter.
